「フランダースの犬」のネロ少年がずっと憧れて、見ながら逝った聖堂のルーベンスの絵は実在しています。でも、案外小さいものだなというのが実感です。
A boy named Nelo in the story "A Dog of Flanders" wished until his death to see a picture drawn by Rubens and shown at fee in the Cathedral in Antwerpen. The picture which actually exists did not look so magnificent as the story makes us feel.
