公園に着いた翌朝早朝に、何か動物でもいないかなと思って近くの湖のそばを散歩していると、大きな水音がしました。ビーバーでもいるかなと急いで行ってみると、大きなヘラジカが水浴びしていたんです！初日に見れたので、珍しくないのかなと思っていたのですが、後で公園係官の話を聞くと、なかなか見れなくて、一度も見れないまま帰る観光客も多いんだとか。とってもラッキーでした。
I heard a sound of splashing water when I was walking around a nearby lake in the early morning of my second day in the park (that is, the very first morning) in hope of seeing some animals. Thinking it might be a beaver or something, I hurried to the lakeshore to find a big moose bathing in the lake! At the time I thought it a fairly common experience to see a moose for I had one on the virtually first day in the park. But I found out that quite a few tourists returned home without seeing a moose according to a park ranger. I was really lucky!
