国立公園で象の群れが園内の道路を横切っていきました。次の象と間隔が空いたので、何気なくその間に通り過ぎたところ、その象が怒って鼻を振り回しながら向かって来ました。群れから引き離そうとしたと思ったのでしょう。車でしたので加速して逃げ切りましたが、もしエンストでもしていたら、踏みつぶされていたかもしれません。象は仲間意識が強い動物だというのは知っていましたが、それが攻撃にも向かうのだなと思い知らされました。
In the national park a group of elephants crossed the road in front of me. As there was some space from the next elephant, I passed by. But the elephant was infuriated and came toward my car swinging his nose furiously. He seemed to think he was removed from the group by me. I accelerated and got away. If the car had had engine trouble or something, I might have stomped to death by him. Intentionally or unintentionally, you shall never infuriate an elephant!
