駐車違反の切符を切られてしまいました！ちょうど「ここから駐禁」という標識のそばで、禁止区域に入るのかどうか分からなかったのですが、他の車も止まっていたので、いいんだろうと思って止めておいて、戻ってみたら、他の車はいなくなっており、私の車の上では罰金の納付告知書がひらひらしていました。切符が切られた以上、罰金を払わないでいてややこしくならないよう、さっさと払おうとしたのですが、これがまた一苦労でした。土曜日だったのですが、幸い、市役所広場前の銀行が開いていて、それはよかったのですが、旧東独地域であることもあって、英語がほとんど通じません。水戸黄門の印籠のように納付告知書を差し示しながら、あっちこっちの窓口を渡り歩いてなんとかお金を払い終えましたが、旅行者にとっては真面目に（？）罰金を払うのも大変です。
I was fined for parking violation! As I stationned my car just in front of a traffic post indicating parking prohibition from that point, I was not sure the prohibition applied to which side of the post. I, eventually, judged that it's OK to park there for another car was stationned right ahead of mine. However, when I returned, the other car was gone and I found a slip of notice of fine on the windshield. As I preferred complying with the order to failing to pay and making bad things worse, I wanted to settle the fine immediately. But for me it turned out to be a challenge to pay the fine. Fortunately I found a bank open in the city center though it was Saturday. But few people at the bank understood English. (Erfult is in ex-East Germany area.) I had to wander around in the bank showing the notice of fine until I finally found the right booth and made the payment. For tourists it is no easy task to pay fine honest to an official order!
